An unarmed Uruguayan passenger tried to force his way into the locked cockpit of a United Airlines plane on a flight from Miami on Thursday but was subdued after the co-pilot hit him over the head with a small ax, the FBI said. Pablo Moreira, 28, a banker from Uruguay, was tied up by the flight crew and later arrested by police after the flight landed as scheduled in Buenos Aires.

There have been conflicting reports about whether or not Moreira was drunk. Argentine authorities said earlier that Moreira had admitted to drinking whiskey before the flight, but later said that Moreira could not remember what had happened.Full STory...
